So. I suppose this is a new beginning, you know. Me, you, a blog? Sounds pretty romantic to me.
Okay. To be fair, I'm mostly kidding with that. Keep your romance to the left, please.
I guess if you've made it this far, landed on this site in the vast sea that is the internet, you probably want a general idea of what's going on. My name's Lucynda, though I do go by a variety of nicknames. I'm a junior at George Mason University, studying Global Affairs and Creative Writing. Two vastly different fields, I know, but they overlap a lot more than you'd think.
There's a lot of reasons I'm making a blog of my own. I've run a tumblr for going on five years now, and a livejournal on and off for something like seven, but those are sites hosted somewhere else by someone else. I want to make a little mark on the internet, stake it out with a tent and a flag, and call it mine.
Which leads us to this.
